This workshop focuses on what is JTAG and the vulnerabilities associated with JTAG. We will also cover how to analyze the firmware binary running on IoT Devices and find vulnerabilities in it. We will also take a deep dive into the BLE architecture and BLE-related attacks.

About the Speakers:

Hemant Sonkar: Hemant Sonkar is currently working as Lead IoT Security Consultant at Payatu. He has 3+ years of Hands-on experience in breaking and reversing the hardware of different IoT devices like consumer and medical devices. He has gained valuable experience in the assessment of various IoT devices varying from simple bare-metal devices to complex OS-based firmware devices.

Himanshu Chauhan: Himanshu Chauhan is an IoT Security Researcher at Payatu, specializing in the Hardware & Radio Security domains of IoT. With a keen interest in Side Channel Analysis and Radio Security, he continuously expands his knowledge in these areas. Himanshu has gained valuable experience by working on a wide range of IoT devices, focusing on hardware assessment and ensuring robust radio security measures. He possesses 1.5 years of dedicated experience in the field of Hardware & Radio Security. Furthermore, he brings 1 year and 8 months of experience as a Cloud Consultant, specializing in Azure.

Abhinav Thakur: Abhinav Thakur is currently working as an IoT Security Researcher at Payatu. Having experience working with malicious software and binary analysis, he specializes in reverse engineering and breaking digital devices. Currently targetting IoT devices varying from simple bare-metal systems to complex OS-based systems. He spends most of the day understanding system internals and developing payloads to achieve unintended behavior on his targets.
